As many of you know, I leave tomorrow for Brazil! I am so excited to see my Brazilian family and friends, and I will be attending a fun wedding, too! To boot, I plan to shop for new and exciting wooden and resin beads, crochet items and anything made with Brazilian craftsmanship that I can bring back and introduce into my workshop here. There's nothing like the bright colors and soft textiles to get me in the mood for Spring and Summer during the frozen days in Virginia! That is probably why my inspiration for the bracelets I made this week are fruits! These are the bracelets I designed this week. The oranges are vintage glass and the strawberries are lampwork.
Finally, in honor of my grandmother who loves Betty Boop, I made a black, red and white "Betty" bracelet with vintage plastic flower beads and a whimsical polka dot grosgrain ribbbon! As always, you can click on the thumbnails to enlarge. Fun stuff! Talk to you all when I return from Brazil!
